The public procurement of open source software raises specific issues. Procuring something that is free affords certain opportunities -- but challenges as well.
The course contains material about both open source software legislation and public procurements, with special focus on the interface between the two.
We will pay particular attention to:
- two-phase procurements
- the significance of an agreement constellation for allocating responsibility
- errors
- the significance for competitiveness
- the relationship between qualification requirements and award criteria
Course duration: 2-4 hours
It is useful, though not essential, to have some prior knowledge of public procurement regulations.
A course can be adapted to your company's needs and can be based on practical issues and include practical exercises.
