An EU design is valid in all countries which are members of the EU, excluding EEA countries.

Anyone living in Norway and companies with their headquarters in Norway must submit an application for an EU design through an agent entitled to assist clients in the EU. Agents must also have authorisation from the OHIM (Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market) to represent design applicants.
